Updating my Studio Equipment
I’ve been wanting better gear for both filming purposes for YouTube and also for sound wise. I came to conclusion that my recently bought new iPhone has a great camera that I really ought to use for filming, if i only had a better microphone to go with it. I decided to buy the Røde VideoMic Me to set up with my smarthphone, which would make the audio quality much better and I don’t need to upgrade the camera just yet. It was out of stock in the store today, but I’ll be getting it during the week, so I should be able to film something new during the next coming week. It’s been a while since I uploaded something new on my channel, so it’s about time I purchase the microphone so I can get on with that.
I’m currently using the Logitech 920 webcam together with my studio microphone SE-X SX1 powered by the audio interface Scarlett 2i2, which isn’t delivering the best light and sharpness to the image.
I went ahead and purchased a light solution to have in front of a mirror, both for getting ready in the morning but also to use as a film setup. I can’t wait to get it up and running during the week!
I’d love to hear from you! Stay in touch on my Facebook page, in the comments below or on my YouTube channel. All links are on the side panel.
Interesting device. How much is the mic? Does it have noise cancellation?
Approximately 58€/60$. It seems to be having noise cancelling, it’s a directional mic which takes up the sound from the direction it’s pointed towards. 🙂
Sounds really cool, what’s your YouTube channel link? Keen on hearing the quality.
